The Four Bells Inn has been here since 1762 (according to public records), it was formerly know as ‘the Bells’, ‘Bell’, ‘Ring of Bells’, ‘Five Bells’ or ‘Eight Bells’!

In 1898 the Home Brewery bought the Four Bells and today it is owned by Star Pubs & Bars (formerly Scottish & Newcastle).

A major conversion in 1999 when two separate rooms were merged into one, which was very popular in the area.

Clarence Levers served there for 21 years between 1950 and 1971, succeeded by Andrew & Doris Round for 28 years between 1971 and 1999.

A number of licencees worked at the Four Bells until Gaynor Smith took over in October 2010.

One of only two pubs in the village, Woodborough is one of Nottingham’s most sought after areas for property and farming.
